2026 Christmas Appeal
This Christmas, help us bring food, friendship and festive cheer to people doing it tough across Lake Macquarie and the Hunter. With your support, we can ease the pressure on families and create welcoming spaces where everyone feels included.
Where Your Support Goes
🎄 Two weeks before Christmas, we will distribute hundreds of free food hampers through schools and charities across the Hunter, supporting students and families in need during their final week of school.
🎁 In the week before Christmas, we will distribute hundreds more free hampers to our guests and vulnerable community members, alongside children’s toys, meals and Christmas support. These practical gifts will help households put food on the table and bring a little Christmas joy to children and families.
🍽️ On Christmas Day, we will host the first-ever NourishEd Toronto Foreshore Free Christmas Lunch at Toronto Foreshore Park. Everyone is welcome to join us for free meals, friendly company and Christmas cheer. Whether someone is experiencing hardship, spending the day alone or simply looking for connection, there will be a place for them.
Every one of these programs is completely free for the people accessing them. Making them possible takes community support, donations and financial help.
Why Your Help Matters
No one should have to choose between paying bills and putting food on the table at Christmas or spend the day feeling forgotten.
NourishEd receives no government funding. We rely on the generosity of our community to provide food and support to those who need it most. Your donation will help fund Christmas hampers, meals and these festive initiatives, bringing practical relief and connection to local people.
Every $10 donation helps provide a festive food hamper filled with pantry staples and snacks for someone doing it tough.
How You Can Help
